Ayuda económica de la Fundación Atapuerca destinada a participar en las investigaciones del Grupo de Antropología Dental, del Centro Nacional de Investigación sobre la Evolución Humana (CENIEH) de Burgos. La persona que obtenga la ayuda económica dedicará su jornada laboral al procesamiento, análisis y reconstrucción 3D de los datos obtenidos a partir de las tomografías computarizadas de dientes realizadas con un escáner microCT-80 (Scanco Medical). Aunque el trabajo está dedicado a la colaboración técnica de las investigaciones en curso, la persona elegida participará en los artículos científicos que se obtengan con su colaboración en el ámbito de trabajo del Grupo. Asimismo, se podrá estudiar la posibilidad de realizar su tesis doctoral bajo la dirección de los científicos del Grupo, si así lo desea y se lo permite su titulación académica.

Requisitos:

• Poseer la titulación académica apropiada para el trabajo requerido.
• Demostrar buen conocimiento del programa Visage Imaging Amira/ MacOSX (el conocimiento adicional de otros programas de reconstrucción como el Mimics también serán valorados positivamente).
• Tener conocimientos medios de inglés.

Lugar: Burgos

Duración: ayuda económica de 10.547,64 € brutos anuales, renovables hasta un máximo de tres años, con posibilidad de un año de prórroga adicional.

The Fundación Atapuerca offers a grant to participate in the research projects of the Dental Anthropology Group at National Research Center on Human Evolution (CENIEH, Burgos, Spain). The successful candidate will work on the 3D analysis and reconstruction of the microCT data obtained from the computed tomographies of teeth performed with a microCT-80 scanner (Scanco Medical). Although the offered position is mainly focused in the technical assistance to the Dental Anthropology Group’s ongoing research, the winning candidate can participate in the scientific manuscripts derived from her/his collaboration. In addition, if the candidate is interested and his/her academic qualifications fulfill the requirements, there is a possibility of performing a PhD under the Dental Anthropology Group’s supervision.

The successful candidate must fulfill the following requirements:

• To meet the academic qualification necessary to perform the technical work specified above.
• To be proficient with Visage Imaging Amira/ MacOSX software (relevant and additional experience with other advanced tomography 3D software such as Mimics will be positively considered).
• English level required: intermediate.

Place: Burgos

Amount and duration of grant: 10.547,64 € annually (gross amount before taxes deduction). The duration of this grant is, in principle, annual, renewable up to a total of three years and with the possibility of an extension for an additional fourth year.
